Tripoli, March 29, 2026 (LANA) – The Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Dr. Salah al-Din al-Namroush, called for unity, the rejection of discord, and the directing of weapons towards protecting the homeland and preserving its unity. He pointed out that working as a unified team is the path to establishing security and stability.
This came in a speech he delivered during his participation in a greeting ceremony organized by the General Staff at the Tripoli Naval Base, in the presence of the commanders of the military regions, chiefs of staff of the various branches, heads of departments, directors of administrations, and commanders of military units.
In his speech, al-Namroush stressed that the critical phase the country is going through requires the highest levels of readiness and discipline. He emphasized the importance of developing military education and training, and raising scientific and combat efficiency, which will enhance the capabilities of the Libyan Army forces to perform their duties professionally.
