Al-Kilani participates in an emergency Arab meeting to unify humanitarian efforts and support Palestine and Lebanon

Tripoli, March 29, 2026 (LANA) – The Minister of Social Affairs in the Government of National Unity, Wafa Abubakr Al-Kilani, participated in the extraordinary session of the Executive Bureau of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs, held via videoconference.
The Ministry stated on its official page that the session focused on coordinating a unified Arab position to support Palestine and Lebanon by activating emergency response mechanisms and intensifying social relief programs. Emphasis was placed on strengthening the preparedness of Arab social institutions and developing rapid intervention tools to suit the nature of different crises.
During the meeting, Al-Kilani stressed the need to adopt urgent and effective executive steps based on unifying Arab efforts and accelerating humanitarian interventions to ensure that aid reaches the most affected groups and prevents the deterioration of social conditions in affected areas.
She emphasized the importance of adopting practical initiatives that strengthen Arab solidarity and support stability in the region. She noted that the meeting discussed a range of proposals aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the joint Arab response and expanding the scope of support for affected countries.
According to the ministry, Al-Kilani reiterated Libya's commitment to actively contributing to joint Arab efforts and supporting humanitarian initiatives aimed at alleviating suffering and strengthening social cohesion in the region.
