Houston, March 24, 2026 (LANA) – The Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Masoud Suleiman, held a series of meetings with officials from major international energy companies on the sidelines of the CERAWeek World Energy Congress in Houston, USA, with the aim of strengthening strategic partnerships and developing the oil and gas sector in Libya.

Suleiman discussed with the CEO of Baker Hughes ways for the company to return to the Libyan market and enhance its participation in oil operations. He also discussed with representatives of ConocoPhillips its operational plans in Libya for the current year, emphasizing the importance of accelerating exploration and drilling of exploratory wells in concession areas and its contribution to joint strategic projects.

He also met with officials from TGS to discuss cooperation in seismic surveys of offshore areas, the introduction of modern technologies, and training and knowledge transfer programs.

Suleiman called on the companies to reopen their offices in Tripoli to strengthen their presence and support exploration activities, aiming to attract quality investments and advanced technologies that will contribute to developing the sector, increasing production, and achieving long-term sustainability.
