Dbeibah issues a decision specifying the Eid al-Fitr holiday for 2026

Tripoli, March 18, 2026 (LANA) – The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdulhamid Dbeibah, issued Decree No. 117 of 2026 on Wednesday, specifying the Eid al-Fitr holiday for the year 1447 AH. The first, second, and third days of Shawwal will be official holidays.
The decree also stipulates that the fourth day of Shawwal will be a holiday for all employees in public sector entities and similar institutions.
The decree exempts essential humanitarian and security services, guaranteeing their employees the right to compensation for working on that day in accordance with applicable legislation.
