Tripoli – March 18, 2026 (LANA) – The Libyan Ministry of Water Resources warned citizens of the continued impact of a low-pressure system on the eastern and central regions of the country, accompanied by active to strong winds, dust, and sandstorms that may reduce horizontal visibility, starting today, Wednesday, and continuing for the next two days.
In an alert published on its official page today, Wednesday, the Ministry explained that the Meteorological Center forecasts scattered rainfall, sometimes heavy, accompanied by thunderstorms, particularly in the areas of Ajdabiya, the Gulf region, the Benghazi Plain, Jalu, and Jaghbub, which may cause water accumulation in low-lying areas.
The Ministry urged all citizens to take precautions and stay away from valleys and low-lying areas to ensure their safety.
