Tripoli – March 18, 2026 (LANA) – The Minister of Water Resources in the Government of National Unity, Hosni Oweidan, conducted a field visit today, Wednesday, to several locations in the Tajoura Municipality to monitor stormwater drainage bottlenecks, in response to reports received by the ministry's reporting center.
According to the official page of the Ministry of Water Resources, the tour included a visit to the Al-Daman pumping station and the treatment plant in Tajoura to review the progress of work and the level of preparedness. The visit was attended by the mayor and members of the Tajoura Municipal Council, the director of the security directorate, the director of the administrative and financial affairs department, and the director of the projects department at the ministry.
The minister also inspected several bottlenecks, including the Container Triangle and Musa Kusa area, in addition to stormwater accumulations in the Al-Hamidiya area, directing that their resolution be expedited and that emergency response teams be reinforced.
Oweidan concluded his tour with a visit to the construction site of the pumping station on Al-Isban Island in Tajoura to review the progress of the work and its role in supporting the stormwater drainage system.
