Tripoli – March 17, 2026 (LANA) – The Libyan Red Crescent's Emergency and Ambulance Team in Tarhuna has declared a state of emergency and raised its alert level to full readiness due to the severe weather conditions and heavy rainfall currently affecting the city.
In a statement posted on its official page today, Tuesday, the team explained that these measures are part of its proactive preparations to address any emergencies that may arise from the unstable weather and to ensure a rapid response to humanitarian cases and emergency reports.
The Emergency and Ambulance Team urged all citizens to exercise caution and avoid low-lying areas and floodplains, as well as to adhere to safety instructions and guidelines to protect themselves and others.
The team also affirmed its complete readiness to handle various reports and emergencies, noting that its ambulance teams and volunteers are fully prepared to provide humanitarian assistance and emergency services whenever needed.
