Tripoli, March 12, 2026 (LANA) – The Deputy Head of the Presidential Council and Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army, Musa al-Koni, met today, Thursday, with the Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Salah al-Din al-Namroush, who provided a comprehensive briefing on the security and military situation in the various units under the General Staff.

The meeting, held in the capital, Tripoli, addressed the security and military situation in the regions and ways to coordinate efforts to organize the work of military units and sectors, thereby enhancing their efficiency and enabling them to contribute effectively to establishing security and stability in the country.

For his part, al-Koni commended the efforts exerted by the military units in their various specializations, stressing the need to continue working with the same level of discipline and readiness, which contributes to strengthening the sovereignty of the state and protecting its security and stability.
