Illegally cutting down olive trees in Tarhona

Tarhona, March 10, 2026 (LANA) – The Agricultural Police Station in the Al-Nahr area of Tarhona branch conducted a patrol within the Tarhona Agricultural Project and discovered the illegal cutting down of approximately 1,200 olive trees.
During the operation, the workers involved in cutting down the trees were apprehended and referred to the relevant authorities for legal action.
The police urged the project management to adhere to the regulations, monitor the situation, and report any violations, as well as to comply with the standards and guidelines for cultivating olive trees, which are considered a national treasure that must be preserved.
