HoR Speaker Reviews Reconstruction Projects in Various Cities

Al-Qubba – March 9, 2026 (LANA) – Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, reviewed the progress of reconstruction projects and their future plans in various cities and regions yesterday, Sunday, during his meeting with the Director General of the Development and Reconstruction Fund for Libya, Engineer Belqasim Khalifa Haftar, at his office in Al-Qubba.
According to the Speaker's Media Center, the meeting reviewed the latest developments in comprehensive reconstruction plans and the completion rates of existing projects, particularly infrastructure, bridge, and vital service facilities projects.
The meeting also addressed the Fund's future plans aimed at expanding the scope of projects to include all municipalities, ensuring a fair and balanced distribution of development projects across different regions.
The meeting also included a briefing by the Fund's Director on his recent tour of the Al-Wahat region and his assessment of its needs within the framework of reconstruction and development plans.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives affirmed the House's full support for the efforts of the Libyan Development and Reconstruction Fund and its commitment to overcoming obstacles to ensure the continuation of construction and development projects.
The Speaker commended the Fund's management efforts, emphasizing that the current urban development boom in the country represents a significant step towards strengthening stability and improving services for citizens.
For his part, the Director General of the Fund presented an overview of the project implementation mechanisms and the established timelines for completion, affirming the Fund's commitment to applying the highest standards of quality and transparency in project execution.
