Arresting Four Individuals on Drug Trafficking

Tripoli, March 9, 2026 (LANA) – The Anti-Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Agency announced the arrest of several individuals on charges of drug trafficking and use in the Al-Sarraj and Zawiyat Al-Dahmani areas.

In a statement, the agency explained that the operation resulted in the arrest of four individuals, three of whom are Sudanese nationals, and one Libyan national. A quantity of what is suspected to be hashish was found in their possession, in addition to a number of tablets suspected to be the psychotropic substances Tramadol and Lyrica.

The agency confirmed that the necessary legal procedures have been taken against those arrested, and they have been referred to the Anti-Narcotics Prosecution Office to complete the investigations and take the necessary measures.
