A phone call between Menfi and Azerbaijani President

Tripoli, March 8, 2026 (LANA) - President of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al-Menfi, held a telephone conversation yesterday, Saturday, with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. During the call, they discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and prospects for developing joint cooperation.

The two sides reviewed the latest developments in the region and exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues.

During the call, Al-Menfi emphasized Libya's keenness to consolidate cooperation with the Republic of Azerbaijan and to advance relations between the two countries towards broader horizons of coordination and integration in various fields, in a way that enhances stability and serves common interests.
