Libya and Serbia Discuss Memorandum of Understanding

Belgrade, March 8, 2026 (LANA) – A delegation from the General Authority for Communications and Informatics met with the Serbian Deputy Minister of Information, Communications, and European Integration, Filip Pavlović.
During the meeting, which took place as part of the visit of the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Taher Al-Baour, to Serbia, the Libyan delegation discussed the final touches to the memorandum of understanding on information and communication technology, which both sides are working to harmonize. They also discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the fields of communications, information technology, and postal services.
Both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening institutional cooperation between the two countries, noting the significant potential for developing partnerships in these areas through the exchange of expertise, knowledge, and best practices.
Both sides expressed their confidence that the anticipated signing of the Memorandum of Understanding would represent a significant step towards developing bilateral relations and implementing joint projects in the field of digital transformation and modernizing the telecommunications sector's infrastructure.
The delegation from the Authority included Amjad Al-Karzab, Director of the Projects Office at the General Authority for Communications and Information Technology, and Fatima Al-Mamlouk, Head of the Cooperation with the Republic of Serbia Department at the International Cooperation Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Representing the Serbian side was Katarina Tomašević, Assistant Minister for Electronic Communications and Postal Services.
