Tripoli, March 5, 2026 (LANA) – Libyan Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibah held a telephone conversation with UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, during which they discussed the latest developments in the region in light of the recent escalation and its repercussions on regional security and stability.

The call addressed the rapidly evolving situation and its potential impact on the region. Dbeibah affirmed Libya's rejection of any targeting of brotherly Arab states, emphasizing its unwavering support for the sovereignty of the UAE and its commitment to preserving its security, stability, and territorial integrity.

Dbeibah also stressed the importance of intensifying diplomatic efforts and bringing the concerned parties back to the negotiating table. This, he said, would contribute to containing tensions, preventing further escalation, and working towards consolidating security and stability in the region.

For his part, UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his appreciation for Libya's supportive stance, affirming the deep fraternal relations between the two countries and his country's commitment to continuing cooperation and coordination with Libya in a way that strengthens joint Arab action and serves the stability of the region and the interests of its people.
