Al-Sayeh discusses with the British Ambassador to Libya the international community's support for the commission in implementing electoral requirements

Tripoli – March 5, 2026 (LANA) – The Chairman of the High National Elections Commission (HNEC), Emad Al-Sayeh, met today with the UK Ambassador to Libya, Martin Reynolds, and his accompanying delegation to discuss ways the international community can support the HNEC's efforts to conduct elections according to the highest technical and professional standards. This support aims to strengthen the democratic process and consolidate the principles of transparency and credibility in the electoral process.
The HNEC stated that during the meeting, the Chairman reviewed the HNEC's preparations and its technical and logistical plans for conducting the elections. He emphasized the HNEC's commitment to performing its duties with complete independence and impartiality, ensuring that voters can exercise their right to vote in a safe and fair environment.
For his part, the UK Ambassador expressed his appreciation for the HNEC's efforts in managing and organizing the electoral process.
