UN Security Council renews its support for Hanna Tetteh's efforts

New York, March 4, 2026 (LANA) – The UN Security Council issued a press statement on Tuesday regarding Libya, renewing its support for the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Libya, including her mediation and good offices efforts to advance a comprehensive political process in Libya and make progress on the roadmap she announced on August 21, 2025.
The Security Council members noted the importance of making progress towards unifying all institutions, including military and security institutions, and stressed the importance of preserving the unity and independence of the judicial system.
