In his call with the Emir of Qatar, Al-Menfi expressed his rejection of any infringement upon the sovereignty and security of Arab states.

Tripoli, March 1, 2026 (LANA) – The Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al-Menfi, held a telephone conversation this evening with the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

During the call, Al-Menfi expressed Libya's full solidarity, both leadership and people, with the State of Qatar, reiterating his firm rejection of any infringement upon the sovereignty of Arab states or any threat to their security, given the serious repercussions this would have on regional stability and the escalation of regional tensions.

The Head of the Presidential Council stressed the importance of intensifying regional and international efforts to contain the crisis and prioritize dialogue and political and diplomatic solutions.

For his part, the Emir of Qatar expressed his deep appreciation for Libya's supportive stance, praising the profound fraternal relations and strong historical ties that bind the two countries and their brotherly peoples.
