Launch of the unified digital system for chambers of commerce

Tripoli, March 1, 2026 (LANA) – The General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture launched the unified digital system for chambers of commerce under the patronage of the Minister of Economy and Trade, Mohamed Al-Hawij.
The Union stated on its website that the unified digital system represents a qualitative leap in institutional work and reflects its commitment to unifying the digital platforms of chambers of commerce and improving the quality of services provided to the business sector.
This launch comes within the framework of a strategic direction aimed at developing electronic services within chambers of commerce and facilitating transaction procedures, thereby contributing to supporting the business environment, raising the efficiency of institutional performance, and modernizing the economic services system in Libya.
The general program organized by the Union included a visual presentation introducing the Union and the digital platform, in addition to a detailed technical presentation outlining the system's operational mechanism and the services it will provide to business owners and investors, as well as its role in expediting procedures, enhancing transparency, and achieving electronic connectivity between relevant economic entities.
The event also witnessed the handover of the system's supervisory and technical components to the Ministry of Economy and Trade and the Customs Authority, a step that embodies the level of institutional integration and strengthens digital connectivity between the concerned parties.
The events concluded with the official launch ceremony of the unified digital platform for chambers of commerce, a strategic step in the economic digital transformation aimed at establishing the principles of digital governance and supporting economic development in Libya.
Participants in the launch event included the Chairman of the National Council for Economic and Social Development, Mahmoud Al-Futaisi; the Chairman of the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture, Mohamed Al-Raid; the Director of the Chambers of Commerce Department, Adel Kashir; the Director of the Foreign Trade Department at the Ministry of Economy and Trade, Hisham Qanidi; several officials from the Libyan Trade Network; representatives from the Customs Authority and the Commercial Registry; representatives from chambers of commerce, industry, and agriculture; and representatives from Qanwan Investment and Group Management Company.
