Tripoli, February 27, 2026 (LANA) – Dr. Ali Al-Maqouri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation for Employment Affairs in the Government of National Unity, held an expanded meeting with the directors of the Employment, Labor Inspection, Occupational Safety, and Municipal Labor and Rehabilitation Offices departments, along with officials from the Information Technology, Technical Support, and Legal Affairs departments, and the technical team for the “Wafed” platform.

The meeting was held to follow up on the labor market situation and discuss updates on the “Wafed” digital platform, the mechanisms of the current system, and the difficulties and obstacles facing employment offices during the implementation of procedures. Technical observations were also reviewed, along with ways to address them in order to improve performance and the quality of services provided to citizens.

Attendees emphasized the importance of adhering to the digital platform and strengthening integration among the relevant departments, with a focus on enhancing technical support and providing immediate solutions to technical observations. This will contribute to streamlining procedures, increasing the efficiency of work within employment offices, and achieving greater organization and transparency in the management of labor market data.
