he Ministry of Education of the Government of National Unity is discussing with the UNICEF Education Department the proposed training programs and technical support for the year 2026.

Tripoli, February 27, 2026 (LANA) – The International Cooperation Office at the Ministry of Education of the Government of National Unity met yesterday with the Education Department of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) to discuss a proposed package of training programs and technical support for 2026.

The meeting included the Director of the Office, Mr. Abdul Qader Abu Shanaf, the Head of the Education Department at UNICEF, Ms. Amal Marcus, the Director General of the Training and Educational Development Center, Dr. Mohamed Ghouma, and the Director of the Supervision Office, Mr. Al-Mabrouk Mubarak.

The meeting reviewed the proposed training plan to develop the skills of education supervisors across Libya, as well as to enhance the skills and efficiency of school principals in coordination with the Training and Educational Development Center.

The Ministry explained that this meeting is part of its plan, signed with UNICEF, to improve the efficiency of educational administration and develop educational outcomes through effective international partnerships and specialized implementation programs.
