The Competition and Anti-Monopoly Council affirms its respect for the jurisdictions of the Administrative Control Authority and the Audit Bureau.

Tripoli, February 28, 2026 (LANA) – The Competition and Anti-Monopoly Council called on both the Administrative Control Authority and the Libyan Audit Bureau to exercise restraint, prioritize the national interest, and adhere to the provisions of applicable legislation. The Council emphasized the importance of managing any differences of opinion within legal frameworks to strengthen the stability of state institutions.

In a statement issued today, the Council affirmed its full respect for the jurisdictions and roles of both institutions in protecting public funds and safeguarding state institutions. It stressed that the current phase requires the utmost wisdom and responsibility to preserve public trust and enhance institutional stability.

The statement commended the institutional efforts exerted in implementing laws and fulfilling oversight duties, encouraging the consolidation of the principle of positive competition between the two institutions to serve the public interest and improve institutional performance.

The Competition and Anti-Monopoly Council emphasized that any differences of opinion should be managed within the framework of the law, reflecting mutual respect and strengthening integration among state bodies, thus achieving the supreme national interest.
