Tripoli, February 22, 2026 (LANA) – The Central Bank of Libya announced its invitation to commercial banks to subscribe to issue number (5-2026) of unrestricted speculative deposit certificates, in accordance with the procedures and controls followed in previous issues, and according to the terms and maturity dates specified in the subscription announcement.
The bank affirmed that the subscription will be implemented in an organized and transparent manner, with full adherence to the approved terms and procedures. This will contribute to strengthening confidence in the banking sector and improving liquidity mechanisms in the local market.
This issue is considered an important step in the series of deposit certificate issuances implemented by the Central Bank of Libya to support commercial banks and provide investment instruments that are consistent with monetary policies, thereby ensuring the stability of the financial sector and enhancing the ability to finance the national economy.
