The UN mission launches the "Give Your Opinion" platform to contribute to structured dialogue issues.

Tripoli, February 17, 2026 (LANA) – The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) has launched a platform for all Libyans, both within the country and abroad, to contribute their views and recommendations on the issues being discussed in the structured dialogue tracks. This can be done by participating in an online survey.

According to UNSMIL, this initiative is part of a campaign entitled "Give Your Opinion." The survey results will be presented to members of the structured dialogue tracks for inclusion in their discussions, and will also be submitted to the Mission leadership and made public.

The survey includes important questions addressing the four tracks of the structured dialogue: governance, the economy, security, national reconciliation, and human rights. It is open to all Libyans until the beginning of April 2026.

Data will be collected throughout the holy month of Ramadan. UNSMIL hopes that this data will contribute to the discussions of the dialogue members, helping them to develop visions that address the concerns and issues of the people and to propose appropriate implementation mechanisms to ensure the effective application of the outcomes of the structured dialogue.

The Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, Hanna Tetteh, stated that "the United Nations does not predetermine what the Libyan people need for the participants in the dialogue, but rather facilitates communication among Libyans themselves to find solutions and propose realistic ways forward."

She added that "every Libyan citizen has a role in shaping the future of this country, and by participating in this survey, everyone can contribute their ideas," noting that the UN mission will ensure these ideas are included in the agenda of the structured dialogue tracks facilitated by the mission.
