Discussions about Libya by US Advisor and Saudi Foreign Minister

Tripoli – February 16, 2026 (LANA) – US Senior Advisor for Arab and African Affairs, Boulos Massad, discussed developments in Libya and Yemen, as well as a number of regional issues, with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.

The US official stated in a tweet posted today, Monday, on his Twitter account that he exchanged views with the Saudi Foreign Minister on developments in Libya and Yemen, and other regional issues.

He added that the meeting also addressed efforts to secure a humanitarian truce, advance the political process, and support the transition to a civilian government in Sudan, within the broader goal of ending the war and restoring stability.

It is worth noting that the meeting took place on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference 2026, which concluded yesterday in Germany.
