Dabaiba meets with Takala to discuss the political and economic situation in the country

Tripoli, February 15, 2026 (LANA) – Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdulhamid Dabaiba, met today, Sunday, with the President of the High Council of State, Mohammed Takala, to discuss the latest political and economic developments in the country and ways to enhance coordination among state institutions during the current phase.
Both sides emphasized the importance of adhering to the Unified Development Agreement this year, considering it a practical framework for unifying financial and development efforts. This will contribute to halting the decline in the value of the Libyan dinar and supporting the Central Bank of Libya's efforts in managing monetary policy and strengthening economic stability.
The two sides stressed the necessity of continued cooperation among national institutions to strengthen the unity of economic decision-making, consolidate the path of financial reform, and safeguard the interests of citizens.
