Washington, February 14, 2026 (LANA) – Senior US Advisor for Arab and African Affairs, Massad Boulos, affirmed that stability in Libya requires strong and professional institutions.
In a post on his X-Platform account, Boulos stated that the United States remains committed to supporting Libyan-led efforts to overcome divisions and promote lasting stability.
This came in response to the meeting held in Tripoli two days ago between the Chief of Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Salah al-Din al-Namroush, and the Deputy Commander of the US Africa Command (AFRICOM), General John Brennan, and the Chargé d'Affaires, Jeremy Brent.
