The Administrative Control Authority discusses with the Hong Kong International Anti-Corruption Academy the development of institutional cooperation between the two sides.

Cairo – February 12, 2026 (LANA) – Ibrahim Abdelkarim, Advisor to the Head of the Administrative Control Authority for Foreign Affairs, met yesterday, Wednesday, with officials from the Hong Kong International Anti-Corruption Academy (HKIAAC) and the Hong Kong Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) to discuss ways to develop institutional cooperation between the two sides. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Administrative Control Authority's participation in the Regional Program for Oversight and Anti-Corruption Bodies held in Egypt.

The Administrative Control Authority stated that the meeting discussed preliminary arrangements for signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that would establish a framework for a strategic partnership in the areas of capacity building, exchange of technical expertise, strengthening performance monitoring mechanisms and integrity protection, as well as cooperation in combating corruption and cross-border money laundering, developing financial investigation skills, and employing innovative technologies and artificial intelligence to support oversight work.

The Authority added that the Advisor to the Head of the Authority emphasized during the meeting the Administrative Control Authority's keenness to expand its international network of relations and benefit from advanced experiences in the field of combating corruption, thereby enhancing the efficiency of oversight performance and elevating the integrity system in Libya in accordance with the best international standards. She explained that this meeting comes within the framework of the Authority's orientation towards building effective and sustainable international partnerships that support the Libyan state's efforts to enhance transparency, consolidate the principles of good governance, and protect public funds.
