Tripoli, February 12, 2026 (LANA) – The Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation of the Government of National Unity announced the National Center for Quality Assurance's international accreditation, making it the first Libyan entity to gain membership in the International Accreditation Forum.

The Ministry explained on its official page that this accreditation will enable the National Center for Quality Assurance to issue ISO certifications for management systems, in addition to professional competency certificates for individuals, in accordance with internationally recognized standards and requirements. This will enhance the alignment of various sectors with global best practices in the fields of quality and accreditation.

The Ministry's official page also broadcast live the ceremony held on this occasion, attended by a number of officials and stakeholders in the quality and accreditation sector. The importance of this step and its implications for developing the institutional work environment in the country were discussed.

Joining the International Accreditation Forum is a significant milestone in developing the institutional structure of the national quality system, contributing to supporting administrative reform efforts, raising the efficiency of human resources, and improving the level of services provided.
