Libya officially signs a contract to participate in Expo 2027 in Serbia.

Belgrade—February 11, 2026 (Lana) Libya signed its official participation contract for Expo Belgrade 2027 yesterday, at the Government of Serbia headquarters in Belgrade, under the auspices of the Government of National Unity.

The Libyan side was represented at the ceremony by Essam Al-Awl, Chairman of the General Authority for Exhibitions and Conferences and Chairman of the Libyan Pavilion Committee at Expo Belgrade 2027, in the presence of the Libyan Ambassador to Serbia.

The Serbian side was represented by Jagoda Lazarović, Minister of Foreign and Domestic Trade and Commissioner General of Expo 2027, along with Danilo Jerinić, representative of Expo 2027.

According to the official page of the Ministry of Economy, this signing confirms Libya's commitment to participating in this international event, reflecting its economic, investment, and cultural potential, and highlighting the opportunities available for cooperation and partnership with participating countries and institutions.

This participation comes within the framework of supporting Libyan-Serbian bilateral relations and enhancing economic, trade, and cultural cooperation, which contributes to consolidating Libya’s presence in international forums.
