Lieutenant General (Al-Namroush) is exploring ways to activate the files of martyrs and wounded individuals and is emphasizing the need to expedite the disbursement of their entitlements.

Tripoli, February 10, 2026 (LANA) – The Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Salah al-Din al-Namroush, held an expanded meeting on Tuesday dedicated to discussing the conditions of the families of martyrs, the missing, the wounded, and prisoners of war, and mechanisms for implementing decisions related to their administrative and financial rights.

The meeting included the Head of the Organization and Administration Authority, the Director of the Martyrs, Prisoners of War, Missing Persons, and War Wounded Department, the Director of the General Directorate of Military Accounts, the Advisor to the Head of the General Authority for the Care of the Families of Martyrs, the Missing, the Amputees, and Prisoners of War, the Head of the General Assembly of the Libyan General Union of Martyrs, the Head of the Council of Elders and Notables of the city of Zawiya, and a representative of the Military Judiciary.

Discussions focused on mechanisms for integrating military personnel and supporting forces into the General Authority for the Care of the Families of Martyrs and the Missing, reviewing the regulations governing this file to ensure swift and accurate procedures, and exploring the possibility of allocating Hajj pilgrimage slots for the targeted groups in recognition of their sacrifices.

The meeting also discussed the administrative and financial procedures for settling the salaries of martyrs and wounded soldiers. The Chief of the General Staff issued instructions to expedite these procedures, streamline transactions, and address any obstacles hindering the implementation of related decisions, in full coordination with the relevant authorities.
