The Electoral Commission announces February 10th and 11th as the dates for appeals against the municipal council elections.

Tripoli, February 9, 2026 (LANA) – The High National Elections Commission announced today, Monday, that appeals against the preliminary results of the municipal council elections (Group Three - 2025) will be accepted within two working days of the publication of the preliminary results.

The Commission specified that appeals against these results must be filed with the district courts within the jurisdiction of the targeted municipalities on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 10 and 11, in accordance with the provisions of Chapter Ten (Appeals) of the Executive Regulations for Municipal Council Elections.

Earlier today, the Commission issued a decision approving the preliminary results of the municipal council elections in Tajoura, Al-Jadida, Sayyad, and Al-Hashan, which took place last Saturday.

The Elections Commission also announced the formation of the elected municipal council in Suluq, which will be officially recognized following the announcement of the final results of the municipal council elections (Group Three - 2025).
