Dabaiba meets with the Saudi chargé d'affaires and hands him a letter to Defense Minister Khalid bin Salman

Tripoli, February 9, 2026 (LANA) – Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dabaiba of the Government of National Unity met today, Monday, with the Chargé d'Affaires of the Saudi Embassy in Libya, Abdullah bin Dakhilallah Al-Salami, to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries on a number of issues of common interest.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister, in his capacity as Minister of Defense, delivered a letter addressed to the Saudi Minister of Defense, Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, within the framework of supporting and developing avenues of cooperation and coordination between Libya and Saudi Arabia, and strengthening political and security relations in a way that serves the common interests of both countries, according to the government's media office.
Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing communication and joint coordination on regional and international issues, in order to enhance stability and support joint Arab cooperation efforts.
