Al-Tarabulsi receives his Italian counterpart to strengthen security cooperation between the two countries

Tripoli, February 9, 2026 (LANA) – The Minister of Interior of the Government of National Unity, Major General Emad Mustafa Al-Tarabulsi, received the Italian Minister of Interior, Matteo Piantedosi, in Tripoli on Monday, during an official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
An official welcoming ceremony was held for the Italian Minister of Interior, attended by a number of leaders and officials from the Ministry of Interior.
This visit comes within the framework of joint efforts to enhance coordination and cooperation in the areas of security, border security, and combating irregular migration, in addition to exchanging expertise between the two sides.
