Tripoli, February 8, 2026 (LANA) – The Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al-Menfi, met today, Sunday, at the Council's headquarters in Tripoli, with a delegation from the municipality of Ghadames. The delegation included the Mayor, Yaqoub Ibrahim Dawi, members of the Municipal Council, as well as representatives of civil society, elders, and wise men.

The meeting addressed the most prominent challenges, needs, and general conditions in the municipality. The delegation expressed their support for the national reconciliation process led by the Head of the Presidential Council and stressed the necessity of continuing this work as a fundamental pillar for strengthening social peace and consolidating national unity.

Al-Menfi reiterated the importance of the role played by municipalities and social components in supporting stability. He emphasized the Presidential Council's commitment to continuing its efforts to consolidate national reconciliation and support initiatives that serve citizens and achieve balanced development in various cities and regions.

The delegation from Ghadames Municipality conveyed the greetings and appreciation of the municipality's residents to the President of the Presidential Council, commending his efforts and endeavors to bridge the divide, strengthen national consensus, and work tirelessly to reconcile the viewpoints of the various political parties, thus contributing to creating a conducive environment for realizing the aspirations of the Libyan people to hold elections and consolidate stability.
