A Turkish Delegation holds meetings in Benghazi.

Benghazi, 8 February 2026 (Lana): The Turkish economic and trade delegation, which arrived in Benghazi on Friday morning, started its visit with a series of official meetings with Emar Libya Holding, within the framework of strengthening investment and economic cooperation between the two parties.

The Executive Director of Emar Libya, Advisor Fouad Al-Awam, stated that the delegation held a meeting at the company's headquarters and included the Mayor of Bursa, the Head of the Bursa trade delegation, the Head of the Bursa Businessmen's Association, the Director of the Office of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and several members of the political and trade delegation.

Al-Awam stated to the Libyan News Agency that the meeting was held with the chairmen of the board of directors of Emar Libya, where they discussed opportunities for joint cooperation, as well as signed copies of several agreements and memoranda of understanding, and reviewed mechanisms for exchanging investment visits between the two sides.

He said that the program also included a field visit to Emar Libya's Lotus project to review the implementation phases and available investment opportunities.

He emphasized that these meetings are part of strengthening the economic and investment partnership, supporting development efforts, and stimulating investment activity in Benghazi.
