The team monitoring the implementation of Security Council resolutions on Libya holds its second meeting in Tripoli.

Tripoli, February 4, 2026 (LANA) – The second meeting of the follow-up team concerned with implementing UN Security Council resolutions related to Libya was held today, Wednesday, at the House of Representatives headquarters in Tripoli.
The meeting was attended by House of Representatives members Youssef Al-Aqouri and Omar Tantoush, the head of the Administrative Control Authority, Abdullah Qaderbouh, and the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Murad Hamima, along with the UK Ambassador to Libya, Martin Reynolds.
Participants exchanged views on the technical and procedural requirements related to implementing Security Council resolutions and the established communication mechanisms with relevant international bodies.
The attendees discussed several issues related to the general financial situation, the management of Libyan assets and investments abroad, institutional coordination mechanisms among relevant national bodies, and the procedural requirements for implementing Security Council resolutions, as well as ways to align them with national legislation and the legal mandates of Libyan institutions.
This meeting follows up on the meeting held yesterday at the headquarters of the Administrative Control Authority, within the framework of the work of the team formed by House of Representatives Resolution No. (113) of 2025, tasked with monitoring the state's financial situation and Libyan investments abroad, and verifying compliance with relevant Security Council resolutions.
