Al-Menfi meets in Zawiya, events in coastal cities and the Western Mountain region

Zawiya, January 29, 2026 (LANA) – The Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al-Menfi, met today, Thursday, in the city of Zawiya, with a wide range of representatives from various sectors and communities across the coastal and western mountain regions.
The meeting was attended by mayors, security directors, security and military leaders, tribal elders, sheikhs, representatives of civil society organizations, university professors, national figures, and local leaders. According to the Presidential Council's media office, the broad representation reflected the diversity of participants in this inclusive national gathering.
In his address during the meeting, Al-Menfi emphasized the established national standing of Zawiya and the coastal and western mountain regions, and their active role in supporting the comprehensive national reconciliation process, aimed at bridging divides, fostering unity, and strengthening solidarity.
The head of the Presidential Council stated that Libya, drawing upon its rich history, remains committed to dialogue as a method, consensus as a path, and partnership as the foundation for shaping the future of coming generations, inspired by the sacrifices of our forefathers in confronting colonialism, achieving independence, and raising the unified flag of the nation.
