The Ministry of Interior deports Nigerian migrants via Mitiga Airport

Tripoli, January 29, 2026 (LANA) – The Ministry of Interior of the Government of National Unity deported a group of Nigerian migrants via Mitiga International Airport.

The deportation followed the completion of all applicable legal and humanitarian procedures, as part of the national program for the return of illegal migrants to their countries of origin.

The Ministry explained that deportation operations will continue as part of a comprehensive plan aimed at reducing the flow of migrants through Libyan territory, thus contributing to maintaining security and stability within the country.
