Tripoli, January 28, 2026 (LANA) – The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Taher Al-Baour, met today in Tripoli with the Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Libya and Resident Coordinator, Ulrika Richardson, to discuss the latest developments in the humanitarian situation in Libya.

During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the Government of National Unity and the United Nations, in order to support national efforts aimed at improving humanitarian and service conditions and meeting the needs of the most vulnerable groups.

The meeting also emphasized the importance of continuing the partnership with the United Nations and its role in supporting stability, building capacity, and promoting sustainable development, while respecting the priorities of the Libyan state and its national sovereignty.
