Harouge Oil Operations adds 1,800 barrels per day to production at the Amal field

Tripoli – January 28, 2026 (LANA) – Harouge Oil Operations Company announced the commissioning of the new well “B-120” in the Amal field, with an estimated production capacity of approximately 1,800 barrels of oil per day. This follows the successful completion of drilling and connection works at a depth of 10,210 feet.

The Chairman of the Company’s Management Committee, Engineer Mohamed Jaballah, confirmed that the well’s commissioning is a significant milestone in the company’s objectives to increase production rates. He noted that this achievement embodies the practical commitment to implementing the directives and plans of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), which aim to enhance production and ensure its sustainability.

In a statement published on the NOC’s official page, Jaballah explained that the work teams were able to overcome a number of technical challenges that faced the drilling and completion operations, thanks to sound technical planning and continuous teamwork. He praised the role of national personnel in various oil fields and sites.

He added that this achievement reflects the high sense of responsibility demonstrated by employees across all departments and specializations, emphasizing that the company is committed to implementing its development programs according to the highest approved technical standards.

For its part, the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation expressed its gratitude and appreciation to Harouge Oil Operations and all its employees at various locations for their efforts in completing this project, affirming its continued support for national talent that contributes to strengthening the oil sector and supporting the national economy.

It is worth noting that Harouge Oil Operations is a subsidiary of the National Oil Corporation.
