US-Algerian talks on current issues in the Arab world, primarily the Libyan crisis

Algiers, January 27, 2026 (LANA) – Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf met today with US Presidential Advisor for Africa, Arab Affairs, and the Middle East, Massad Boulos, to discuss a number of current issues in the Arab world, most notably the Libyan crisis.
The Algerian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the meeting, held at the ministry headquarters in Algiers, included an exchange of views on the most prominent current issues in the Arab world and the African continent, particularly developments in Libya, the Sahel and Sahara regions, and Western Sahara.
During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening the existing strategic dialogue between Algeria and the United States and reaffirmed the need to maintain the positive momentum that characterizes the bilateral partnership, especially in the economic sphere.
