Tripoli, January 27, 2026 (LANA) – The High National Elections Commission (HNEC) announced today, Tuesday, that it has received House of Representatives Resolution No. (3) of 2026, allocating a budget to the Commission to cover the expenses of the upcoming parliamentary and presidential elections.
According to the resolution, published by the HNEC on its official page, an amount of 210,000,000 Libyan dinars (two hundred and ten million Libyan dinars) has been allocated for conducting the parliamentary and presidential elections, under the supervision of the House of Representatives' Presidency.
The HNEC welcomed this practical and serious step, which reflects the legislative authority's commitment to supporting the democratic process.
The HNEC also affirmed its full readiness to begin the necessary technical and logistical operations, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and enhancing voter confidence in the electoral process, in accordance with the highest professional standards.
