Al-Baour and the French ambassador discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation

Tripoli, January 26, 2026 (LANA) – The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity, Taher Al-Baour, met today in Tripoli with the French Ambassador to Libya, Thierry Vallat, to discuss prospects for economic cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the areas of investment, energy, and development.
The meeting, held at the Ministry headquarters, also addressed the latest political and security developments in Libya and ways to support efforts aimed at strengthening security and stability.
Both sides emphasized the importance of enhancing coordination and consultation in multilateral international forums to serve common interests and contribute to supporting regional and international stability. They also stressed the importance of strengthening existing cooperation between Libya and France to broaden the horizons of bilateral partnership.
