Tripoli, January 25, 2026 (LANA) – The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) announced the launch of a week-long series of in-person meetings on Sunday as part of the National Reconciliation and Human Rights track within the structured dialogue.
The Mission explained that participants in the meetings will work to identify key human rights issues in the context of national reconciliation and the holding of elections, focusing on policies and implementation mechanisms to strengthen progress in these areas.
They will also propose recommendations to ensure the independence of the judiciary. This track will seek to ensure the effective integration of human rights into all tracks of the structured dialogue.
