Tripoli, January 25, 2026 (LANA) – The United States reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Libyan efforts to build a unified and prosperous future for all Libyans and to strengthening the bilateral partnership between the two countries, particularly in the energy and economic sectors.
This came in a tweet by the US Senior Advisor for Arab and African Affairs, Massad Boulos, following his address at the Libya Energy and Economic Summit held in Tripoli.
In his tweet, Boulos stated that he was honored to participate in the summit, noting the signing of agreements by ConocoPhillips to elevate its long-standing partnership with Libya to new heights through Chevron. This contributes to resuming cooperation with a country with which the United States shares a historic relationship and deep mutual expertise in the energy sector.
The senior US advisor also expressed his pleasure at the participation of several other American companies in the summit, considering it an indication of the growing US interest in strengthening economic cooperation with Libya.
