Chairman of the NOC meets with Advisor to the U.S. President.

Tripoli, 25 January 2026 (Lana)—Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Masoud Suliman, discussed with the U.S. Senior Advisor for Arab and African Affairs, Massad Boulos, the NOC's financing mechanisms and the challenges it faces in achieving its objectives.
Suliman said on his official page that the meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the Libya Energy and Economic Summit in the presence of the Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy, Jeremy Berndt, discussed NOC’s plans to increase production, in addition to the entry of US companies into the Libyan market and the sector's need for service companies capable of implementing major projects to the required standards.
Suliman emphasized the NOC's commitment to transparency and the disclosure of all results and the 2025 financial statements related to hydrocarbons and crude oil, and clarifying domestic consumption, export volumes, partners' shares, and revenues and budgets in full, reinforcing the principles of transparency and integrity.
For his part, Boulos affirmed his support for the NOC's efforts to increase production and enhance transparency, commending the partnership between U.S. companies and the Libyan oil sector for serving the interests of both parties.
