Electricity has been restored to the Al-Muqazha area following repairs to storm damage.

Benghazi, January 22, 2026 (LANA) – Technical teams from the National Electrical Works Company, one of the companies supporting the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energies of the Government of National Accord, began emergency maintenance work on power lines in the Al-Muqazha area. This work was undertaken following damage to the network caused by the recent storm.

According to the Ministry of Electricity's official page, the maintenance work included addressing all faults affecting electrical wires and overhead transformers. The technical teams conducted a comprehensive field assessment of the damage, replaced damaged components, and implemented the necessary technical measures to ensure the network's safety and stability.

Thanks to continuous efforts and intensive work, the technical teams were able to complete all repairs in record time. They also energized the Al-Muqazha line, which is part of the Al-Abyar distribution circuit. This contributed to restoring electricity and stabilizing service for residents in the area, according to the same source.

These efforts are part of the direct monitoring by the Central Emergency Room and ongoing coordination with supporting companies. This reflects a high level of preparedness and rapid response to emergencies, ensuring the continuity of electricity supply under various weather conditions.
