Benghazi, January 21, 2026 (LANA) – The Spanish Embassy in Libya announced the opening of a Schengen visa application center in Benghazi.
Spanish Consul Manuel Bayena Pedrosa confirmed during the opening of the consular center – located in the Al-Jawhara Mall in the Sidi Hussein area – that this opening will facilitate access to visa services for Libyan citizens residing in eastern Libya, similar to the service provided at the Tripoli center since November 2023.
The embassy stated in a post on its official page that Spain will process visa applications in Benghazi through a center managed by BLS, similar to the center currently operating in Tripoli, which has processed more than 8,000 visas to date.
It explained that both centers will begin processing national visa applications in February, which will improve the service provided to all Libyan citizens.
