The Chief of the General Staff inspects the Naval Studies Academy and reviews training programs and technical equipment

Tripoli, January 20, 2026 (LANA) – The Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Dr. Salah al-Din al-Namroush, paid a surprise visit this morning to the Naval Studies Academy, where he attended the morning assembly of the academy's students.

Al-Namroush also met with new students from the military colleges, in the presence of the Commandant of the Naval Studies Academy and a number of its officers, according to a statement issued by the General Staff through its media office.

The Chief of the General Staff conducted an inspection tour to monitor the development and maintenance work within the academy. He reviewed the training programs and technical equipment, praising the efforts of those in charge of this institution to ensure the students reach the highest levels of competence in their preparation and qualification.

Lieutenant General Al-Namroush emphasized the importance of keeping pace with scientific advancements so that the Libyan Army can confront various military and security challenges.
