Tripoli, January 19, 2026 (LANA) – The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Taher Al-Baour, met today, Monday, at the Ministry's headquarters in Tripoli, with the newly appointed Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Libya, Nguyen Nam Dung.

Al-Baour congratulated the Vietnamese Ambassador on assuming his new post, wishing him success in his duties. He emphasized the deep and distinguished relations between the two friendly countries, noting Libya's keenness to enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields to serve mutual interests.

For his part, Ambassador Nguyen Nam Dung expressed his gratitude for the support and facilitation he received, affirming his country's commitment to developing cooperative relations with Libya and strengthening the prospects for bilateral partnership.

Both sides stressed the importance of continuing meetings and joint coordination, and working to strengthen bilateral relations in all fields, contributing to the support and development of diplomatic relations between the two countries, within the framework of enhancing friendship and joint cooperation.
